What Love Is is a self care company designed to teach people all over the world about the importance of self love through self care products. We are run and owned by a junior in high school, Kaylee, who understands the constant battle of being ashamed of her body and disliking her appearance. Our desire is to erase the stigma of negativity that comes with buying self care products by reminding our customers that they DESERVE to take care of themselves, not that they need to buy self care products to be beautiful. We are a Christian company intent on sharing the Gospel, which is why our theme verse is 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 which says "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away." We used this verse because it tells us exactly what love is, hence the name of our company. This verse is the basis for everything we do here, and each product is correlated to one thing that love is. For example, bath salts correlate with 'love is patient' since they take time to work but have great and lasting effects. By using this set up, we can teach people how to love themselves in the best way we know how. Each purchase comes with a complementary What Love is bracelet, to serve as a reminder of your worth. We believe EVERYONE deserves to love themselves, no matter what they believe, how tiny they are, or how clear their skin is.
